Commercial plumbing for build work
We are a plumbing contractor for commercial construction. That is two kinds of jobs:
- New commercial buildings, plumbed from the underground up.
- Tenant improvements, where a shell or an existing space gets built out for a new tenant.
If you are a general contractor pricing a job, or an owner building out a space, this is what we do.

What the work looks like
Commercial plumbing is a different job than a house. The framing is steel stud instead of wood. The piping is usually copper and cast iron or steel, not PEX. The runs are longer, the pipe is bigger, and everything is hung from structure on strut and hangers. The photos on this page are from our own commercial jobs.
On a typical project we handle:
- Underground sanitary and water before the slab
- Drain, waste and vent piping
- Domestic hot and cold water, in copper
- Gas piping to rooftop units, water heaters and kitchen equipment
- Restroom rough-in and fixtures, including ADA layouts shown on the plans
- Break room and mop sinks, floor drains, hose bibs
- Water heaters sized to the plans
- Final trim and setting fixtures

How we work with general contractors
Bids in 1–3 days. Send the plumbing sheets and the bid date. You will have our number in one to three days, with the scope spelled out.
A scope you can read. Our bid lists what is included, what is excluded, and what we are assuming. If the drawings are unclear, we ask before bid day, not with a change order after.
We work to your schedule. Underground before the pour. Rough-in before the drywall crew. Trim after finishes. We plan our crew around your inspections so plumbing is not what holds up the job.
Paperwork ready. We are licensed and insured in Utah, and we can send a certificate of insurance for the project.
Tenant improvements
A TI lives or dies on what is already in the building. Where is the sanitary line? Is the water service big enough? Is there gas to the space? Can the slab be cut, or is there a tenant below?
That is why a walk through the space matters before a TI is priced. A sink that sits ten feet from the existing drain is a simple job. The same sink forty feet away, across a slab that has to be cut and patched, is a different number. It is better to find that out at the walk-through than halfway through the job.
Typical TI plumbing is restrooms, break rooms, and moving fixtures to fit a new floor plan.
